Writing Process Blog Hop with Tyler Robbins and More

Welcome friends!!
Today's post is actually a part of a really fun blog hop.
I’ve been tagged by the lovely Nikka Michaels to talk about my writing process, and what’s coming up for me in the future.
There are more authors to visit from Nikka’s post, so by all means, check them out, too.
Today’s hop is all about authors offering others a glimpse into their writing process, their work schedules, and perhaps some insight as to what makes an author tick.
For me, it’s the romance and love’s first kiss. You know, that spark of electricity that shoots through your entire body like a lightning bolt, and you can’t help but crave more?
Every time new characters fall in love, that tingly feeling dances down my spine, and I find myself wanting more, too.
Yup … that’s why I do it!!
I had fun answering these questions. Hope you enjoy what I have to say.

Q. What am I working on?
Currently, I am working on my very first ménage with a female character in a love triangle with two hot men… one vampire, one not! This story has a little bit of everything…M/M M/M/F, kink, a little bondage and domination, copious amounts of seduction, and a whole lot of lovin’!
(I made this cover as one of the many ways I try to inspire my muse. I like to see the idea of my characters in my head come to life)

Q. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
My stories tend to focus on M/M relationships, some are coming out, some are self-realizations, but all are based on love and respect for two consenting adults facing adversity, and all that goes along with relationships in contemporary settings. Whether shifters, vampires, or soldiers returning from war, they all have my own personal brand of underlying sweetness that I’ve become known for.

Q. Why do I write what I do?
Everyone has a story to tell, mine happen to come from a perspective of someone who gets the whole picture where love and equality are concerned. If one of my stories touches a reader on a personal level and makes their day brighter, then my job is done. At the end of the day, love is love, and there’s nothing unnatural about that at all… unless you’re a fish. I don’t think fish really give a damn.

Q. How does your writing process work?
WHEN my writing process “works”, I become so enthralled I don’t stop for anything. My bladder can attest to that.
If I’m really in the zone, I can push out 5,000 words in one sitting. If I’m lucky to be in “that” particular zone, then I go with it for as long as it lasts, and let the story tell itself. Those are the days I feel most accomplished and wish the outside world would stay away… but, as a mother, I have to find a balance, and that’s probably the most challenging aspect of writing.
I might work from home, but I’m still working, so I have to take the time to pay attention to one of the reasons I write professionally in the first place … my kids.

Q. Who will we meet next?
There’s a chance you’ll be meeting two southern country singers named Zane Alexander and Finn Presswood. Zane’s the lead singer of a country and western band called Triple Creek, who’s so far in the closet he can’t find his way out. Finn’s the new guitarist who holds the key and knows exactly how to use it. I’m hopeful that Broken Neon will be finished soon.
I’ve had to walk away from finishing Broken Neon to rejuvenate my writing juices. The ménage I’d mentioned before seems to be doing the trick. Those characters are Honor James, Greyson Beck and Julien Call, and the title is, as of now, Honor’s Beck and Call!!!

My latest release is Killlian's Claim and is book @3 in my new Call of the wolf series.
Six years ago, Quinn Kelly barely escaped the brutal murder of his parents. Now the lone-wolf is searching for a place to belong. Well aware of his proclivity for men, his nomadic life hasn’t allowed him to find anyone to call his own, until now.
Wolf-shifter and future alpha of his own pack, Killian Masters wants nothing more than his father’s approval. After meeting Quinn, he’s more determined than ever to make his father see who he is and how deeply he loves.
Captivated by their growing passion, the young lovers have a rude awakening when the vengeful alpha who murdered Quinn’s parents, finds him, and vows to destroy anyone who gets in his way.
Some say the battle between good and evil is determined by which power is fed the most, but in nature, no power compares to that of an alpha’s claim.

Hope you enjoyed your visit. Please be sure to hop on over and visit Nikka Michael’s blog and get to know her a little better, too!!

Here are a few of Nikka’s friends who are also joining in the hop. You should check them out too, and HAVE FUN!!

Nikka’s lovely co-author of Chasing Matt and the forthcoming In the Raw and In the WeedsEileen Griffin is also a double threat who has written M/F, but prefers to write M/M romance.  You can find her story, Claiming Ayden in Evernight Publishing’s Alpha’s Claim: Manlove Edition, and will share her post on Monday, March 10.
